Reviews for Trattoria la Brasciola
Review highlights
Based on 393 reviewsTrattoria la Brasciola is frequently praised for its authentic Mediterranean cuisine, particularly its fresh seafood and regional specialties such as swordfish and orecchiette. The restaurant’s cozy, family-run atmosphere and attentive service contribute to a warm and welcoming dining experience. Visitors appreciate the reasonable pricing and unique menu offerings that stand out from typical tourist venues. While the limited English proficiency of the staff is noted, it is often viewed as part of the authentic charm rather than a barrier. The wine selection is admired, though some feedback suggests that the dessert options could be improved. Overall, the trattoria is recognized as a must-visit for those seeking genuine local flavors in Brindisi.
Great little trattoria! Food was really tasty and fresh, probably the best swordfish we’ve had. Seems like a family run place and the man who served us was very friendly and gave us a complimentary limoncello. The prices were really reasonable too!
If you are looking for affordable, delicious, and authentic Italian food at a family-run small restaurant, Trattoria la Brasciola is the place you shouldn't miss. The owner speaks enough English to translate the Italian menu, which offers a great selection of dishes that you cannot find in mainstream tourist-focused Italian restaurants. We had one serving of fried mussels as the starter, two main courses, three glasses of wine, and one desert for €60.
Excellent Trattoria in the heart of Brindisi. A brief menu composed of home made local specialties, cooked to perfection by the lady of the house and served by the husband. Nice atmosphere, great local wine list. Desserts could be better, that must be said!
My friends and I had such a beautiful meal and an authentic, fun experience dining here. We walked past by chance and we were so delighted by the service. I really highly recommend the spaghetti with basil and burrata, it was delicious. Although the waiter had limited English, he was so friendly and we loved to interact with him using the little Italian we knew. People that complain about the lack of an English menu need to grow up and have a sense of adventure… This restaurant experience will definitely be a highlight of our trip to Brindisi.
Excellent, very cozy and nice place with super good local food and atmosphere. We ate anti pasti (must try) and primi piati - orechiette. Best orechiette we had tried for a long time in the Puglia region. Must visit for best food while in Brindisi.
Best meal in puglia region of Italy. Flavours rich in taste. Authentic local food and friendly service that made me feel welcomed, no trouble communicating even though I couldn’t speak Italian. Would certainly recommend making reservations as it’s quite popular amongst locals.
Wow!! I had dinner alfresco at La Brasciola tonight. The food was outstanding and wine superb. Despite being busy, the service was very good and I wasn't rushed although I was dining solo. Apologies to the waiter for my terrible Italian!! I hope I can return soon
